What I want in a Husband

Well I am finding that this book is very husband oriented. It more so focuses on God preparing you for marriage then it does on your relationship with God. So at this point Im a little torn because I also started reading a book by Joshua Harris called I Kissed Dating Goodbye. The two books are saying two different things but I am sure God wants me to get something out of both Joshua focuses more on maximizing your single time to fully focus on the ministry God has for you, where P.B. wants you to change your perspective to attract a Godly man. So here is a little from both. Joshua challanged me to evaluate the purpose of my relationships do I get into relationships to please God or to please my flesh and how does it make me feel when its all over. Well it makes me feel lonely, guilty, ashamed, even empty. However when I am doing what God has called me to I feel a since on contentment, peace and belonging. So with that being said I definatly have to re-evaluate my future relationships and make sure they are pleasing in Gods site. P.B. asks what I want in a husband. So here we go.... oh by the way Loving God is a given

1. A man who seeks wisdom
2. A man who is ambitious
3. A man who is finacially stable
4. Someone handsome
5. Someone caring
6. A honest man
7. A man who has integrity
8. A man who is tall
9. Someone who is willing to learn
10. Someone who gives back

March 21, 2009

As of March 21, 2009 I started a 6 month journey of not being in a relationship.

How it Started

In late January I started talking to a guy named David* he is intelligent, driven, and easy to talk to. By mid February we were sleeping together which was a complicated situation in its own right. See David didn't want to be in a relationship and I foolishly reassured him that I could handle that. Well as the weeks passed I found myself falling for him and it felt more and more like a relationship. He felt this too our actions just weren't matching our words. One day after days of thought I decided that this situation was no longer working for me as he slept I kissed him one last time and told him this could not continue. That night my friend told me about this book by P.B. Wilson called Your Knight in Shining Armor. The book suggest you stop dating for 6 months to fully focus on your relationship with God. What better timing!!! So I went on Amazon.com and sent for my book. I received in on the 21st and I signed it so here the journey begins.
